Greg Lindquist

Community Support Worker

Greg was born in and raised on Vancouver Island. He grew up camping and boating all over Vancouver Island with his family. After graduating high school in Victoria Greg attended Camosun College Fine Arts program before moving to Calgary, Alberta to attend Alberta College of Art’s Commercial Art Program where he later worked in advertising, publishing and as a graphic designer and illustrator.

Missing their families on Vancouver Island, Greg and his wife moved to the Comox Valley to be closer to their families in 1994. Their son was born a year later.

Greg started a Graphics Design and illustration studio serving all levels of government and ran a Vintage Car Parts service with international client on four continents for a decade and half from home. Both these businesses allowed him to spend a great deal of time with his son during his formative years.

Once their son was independent, Greg and his wife decided it was a good time to explore new career opportunities.  In 2017 Greg took the North Island Health Care Aid Program while continuing working full time in the field as a support worker.

Greg has worked continuously since 2013 in private homes, group homes and day programs
supporting and advocating for individuals he serves. He enjoys being active in community,
learning new skills and sharing his knowledge with them in their daily lives.

Greg enjoys spending time with his family and doing art as he continues to explore Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands by way of cycling, kayaking and hiking.

The best part of her job is the hugs, the laughter, and being a part of the new milestones our Participants achieve. In her off-time, she can be found singing with a community choir, walking trails, kayaking, exploring new local places, capturing the beauty of nature through photography, and traveling to visit her kids and their significant others.
