Mission Statement

“Our mission is to foster community, honour diversity, recognize strengths, encourage participation and provide opportunities for the people we serve to enjoy a rich and rewarding life.”

Governance

At the Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action, we take pride in adhering to the regulations outlined in the British Columbia Societies Act, as well as following the guidelines set forth in our Constitution and By-Laws. As a federally registered charity with Revenue Canada, we have the ability to receive donations and provide tax-deductible receipts.

Our operations are led by a dedicated nine-member Board of Directors who are elected from the general membership at our Annual General Meeting. The Board sets policies, directs the organization, and convenes monthly meetings to ensure that we are operating effectively. Our day-to-day operations are managed by our experienced Executive Director, and our skilled Adult Support Workers, who are trained in various fields such as Community Support and Health and Personal Care, help to carry out our mission.

Funding

At the Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action, our community-based day programs primarily receive funding from Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). We may also enter into contracts with CLBC to offer individualized services.

In addition to our primary funding source, we also rely on other funding sources to support our mission. These include personal donations, support from the British Columbia Lotteries Corporation, contributions from local service organizations, federal government programs, and income generated from productive enterprises.

By diversifying our funding sources, we can continue to provide high-quality programs and services to adults with disabilities in our community.
