The Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action is led by a dedicated and passionate Board of Directors, consisting of 9 local residents who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people with diverse abilities in the Comox Valley. Their shared goal is to support the underrepresented community and provide opportunities for individuals and their families to thrive.

What sets this Board apart is the unique blend of experiences and perspectives that each member brings to the table. With their collective knowledge and insights, the organization is able to offer a well-rounded approach to supporting the community. They tirelessly work to create a supportive environment that encourages inclusivity and fosters growth.

Andy Reddekop
President

Andy is a semi-retired administrator with 35 years in public education, now mentoring preservice teachers in Comox Valley. With 47+ years of experience in education, administration, community, and business, Andy is dedicated to supporting and promoting the inclusion of people with diverse abilities. Ian Hargreaves
Vice President

Ian has over 45 years of experience in education, both as a teacher and administrator, and is a semi-retired former public school teacher and former school board trustee. He is currently Vice President on the Board of Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action and continues to support the development of new teachers and the inclusion of people with diverse abilities.More…

Carson Roscoe
Secretary

Carson serves on the board of the Beaufort Association, advocating for individuals with diverse abilities. He holds a degree in computer science from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has worked as a software developer, both locally and as a business owner. He remains dedicated to supporting the Beaufort Association through his ongoing efforts and search for new opportunities to contribute. More…

Hugh MacKinnon
Member

Hugh, with over 34 years in public education, experience in multiple industries and athletic achievements, brings a diverse background to the Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action board. He served three terms as a Town Councillor and has traveled the world while being a proud family man. Joining the board in 2019, Hugh serves his community and strives to make a positive impact through the organization. More…

Lorraine Auld
Member

Lorraine is pleased to be part of the Beaufort Association and hopes to contribute to its smooth running. She graduated from the University of BC with a degree in Education and has experience teaching children of different ages and abilities. She retired early and gave up teaching due to Covid-19, but continue to work as a Teacher on Call. She has a blended family and enjoys sewing, baking, knitting, and gardening with their husband. Rosemary Hill
Member

Rosemary was born and educated in London, England and became an RN. In 1976, she and her husband emigrated to Canada and settled in the Comox Valley in 1986 after many moves across the country. She is currently a director of the Board of Beaufort Association for inclusion in Action and is committed to supporting their initiatives. More…

Steve Knight
Member

Steve, a retired educator from Comox Valley, has lived in the area for close to 60 years and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Victoria. Steve taught and held leadership positions at various schools in the Comox Valley School District for 33 years. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action and is committed to supporting their initiatives. More…

With over 20 years of experience, she is committed to making a positive impact in the community and advocating for those in need. In her free time, she enjoys art and being a doting grandmother.
